Tony Dooley

Tony Dooley is a partner/co-founder of the Law Office of Shorty, Dooley, & Hall, LLC. He is also the Managing Partner and co-founder of SDH Title Company, LLC.

Mr. Dooley first attended the University of New Orleans upon completion of High School from McDonogh 35 Senior High in June 1989. He graduated in December 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. While in undergraduate school, Mr. Dooley was a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard, where he served as a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm, as a cannon crewmember of the 1/141 Field Artillery Battalion in Bravo Battery. He was enlisted from June 1990 until June 1996.

After attaining his Masters Degree in Social Work, Mr. Dooley wanted to affect the community and invoke changes. As a result, he attended the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. Mr. Dooley completed the law program in May 2003, and he successfully completed the Louisiana State Bar Examination in the summer of 2003. He was then sworn in to the Louisiana State Bar in October 2003. Thereafter, Mr. Dooley worked at the New Orleans District Attorney's Office from November 2003 until December 2005 as an Assistant District Attorney in the trials division, where he argued various oppositional criminal matters in open court. He has vast experience in picking juries and complex cases.

After leaving the District Attorney's office in December 2005, he briefly managed Dooley Law Office as a private practitioner, before joining forces with Michael Hall and Edwin Shorty in May 2005 as a partner of Shorty, Dooley, & Hall, LLC. Shorty, Dooley & Hall, LLC primarily focuses on plaintiff litigation in the following matters: Personal Injury, Wills and Successions, Intra-family Adoptions, Criminal Defense Law, Business Formations and Litigation, Construction Litigation, and General Liability Defense.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Dooley began seeking more diverse avenues of interest, so he began to study for certification with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission as well as the Louisiana State Insurance Commission. In November 2005, he passed the Louisiana State Insurance Commission Test and licensed to sell real estate insurance. Mr. Dooley currently writes title insurance for The Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore. He is a certified Notary Public as well as a Certified Mediator.

Tony Dooley is the co-owner and Managing Partner of SDH Title Co., LLC, a full service title company co-owned by Edwin Shorty and Michael Hall. SDH Title Co., LLC has performed diligently for numerous agencies. Currently they conduct title closings for Dryades Savings Bank, Liberty Bank, Landmark Mortgage Company, Zephyr Homes, and Wells Fargo Financial. The title company has been operating for over three years, in good standing and without any malpractice claims.
